Here is the grant information regarding the Stallings Police Department.

Petition has impact in police debate – CharlotteObserver.com.

We need to continue round two at the Town Council meeting.

It is our understanding we will finally meet all those who are wanting to disband the Police Department.

The over 1100 of you who signed the petition and the close to a hundred of you who attended the last meeting was not sufficient to show the community support of the Police and Politics being what they are a change may be in the wind for this upcoming town council meeting.

We need to have those of you who support the Stallings Police to attend this meeting. Note the survey will still be going out next month or next but we hope they will not make a decision based on the very rudimentary research done so far. In fact the research done by Brian the Town Manager is very informative and should be the guiding light in all of this.

Observer Story on keeping the Stallings Police

We are very happy and look forward to working with the Mayor and the town council on looking at possible savings in all the departments to offset the downturn in tax revenues.
